Day 1: Chennai to Nizamabad (800kms)
Date: December 16, 2023
Our road trip commenced at the crack of dawn, 4:00 AM, amidst the chilly darkness and rain. The planned route from Chennai to Nizamabad took us through a mesmerizing landscape
Chennai- Nellore- Ongole- Nalgonda- SaroorNagar- Hyderabad- Kucharam- Masiapet- Patharajamept-Dichpally- Nizamabad, covering a total of 800 kilometers on the first day.
Breakfast Stop: Amaravathi Restaurant (150kms from Chennai) The first 50 kilometers comprised a small 2x2 lane road, making overtaking challenging. We stopped for breakfast at Amaravathi Restaurant – a haven on the highway. With ample parking, a gated environment, a park for kids, and a delightful breakfast of Dosa and Idli, it set a positive tone for the journey.
Lunch Stop: Not Recommended Unfortunately, our lunch stop at a small-town restaurant turned out to be a less-than-ideal choice. Despite our repeated requests for prompt service, delays of 90 minutes marred our experience. The budget-unfriendly menu featured a Chill Chicken at ₹350 and Biryani at ₹299.
Dinner Stop: Local Dhaba Navigating the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road, an expressway, proved to be a delightful experience. We opted for dinner at a local Dhaba, spending ₹750 on Butter Naan, Chicken Gravy, and Fried Rice.
Stay: Hotel TRP Bliss Our overnight stay at Hotel TRP Bliss was comfortable and secure. With clean bathrooms, pleasant ambience, and surveillance in the parking area, it was an ideal resting place.
Day 1 toll cost - ₹1068
