COURSE DESCRIPTION Designed to survey the Hebrew Poetry and Wisdom Literature Books that is Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon and also contains a survey of the Book of Lamentations. This course is planned to invite the students to understand the literary structure of the Hebrew Poetry and principles of interpretation with an emphasis to understand its message for practical living. COURSE OBJECTIVES 1. To lead the student to a mature understanding of the Bible as the word of God 2. To understand the literary structure of the Hebrew Poetry and principles of its interpretation 3. To understand the literary structure of Wisdom literature and principles of its interpretation 4. To understand its message for practical living.
